【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandarddefinestheprinciplesfortandem-andLLT-examinationforthedetectionofdiscontinuitiesperpendiculartothesurface.ThegeneralprinciplesrequiredfortheultrasonicexaminationofindustrialproductsaredescribedinEN583-1.AlistofsymbolsandequationsisgiveninEN583-2.Thetandem-orLLT-examinationshouldbeusedforthedetectionofplanardiscontinuitieswithdistancetothesurfacegreaterthan15mm.Thisstandardhasbeenpreparedfortheexaminationofmetallicmaterialswithathicknessbetween40mmand500mmwithparallelorconcentricsurfaces.Itcan,however,beusedforothermaterialsandsmallerthicknessprovidedspecialmeasuresaretaken.note:1LLTmeanslongitudinal-longitudinal-transversewave.
