【摘要】:Thistestmethodisnotintendedtosimulateanactualuseconditionbutitwillgivesomeindicationoftheelastomericpropertiesorflexibilityofabuildingjointsealantatlowtemperature.Itcanservetodifferentiatebetweenelastomer-basedsealantsandsealantsbasedonnonelasticbindersthatcanhardenorembrittleonagingandcrackorloseadhesionwhenflexedatlowtemperature.Inaddition,itcanaidinidentifyingsealantsthathavepoorflexibilitybecausetheyareoverextendedandcontainaverylowlevelofelastomericbinderaswellasthosesealantshavingbindersthatwillembrittleatlowtemperature.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodfortestinglooptensionandelongationofelasticfabricsisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofelasticfabricsbecausethetestmethodisusedinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepartiesshouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingstudent''st-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.ThistestmethodspecifiestheuseoftheCRE-typetensiletestingmachine.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatlooptensiontestdataobtainedusingthismethodarenotcomparabletotensiontestdataobtainedusingTestMethodD1775becauseofthedifferencesintestingmachines.TestMethodD1775usesaCRL-typetensiletestingmachine.Thelooptensionandextensionrelationshipofanelasticfabricisanimportantcriterionforjudgingthesuitabilityofthefabricforvariousenduses,suchas:foundationgarments,brassieres,andswimsuits.Datafromlooptension-recoverycurvescanbecomparedonlyifthetensiontestingmachine,rate-of-extension,maximumloading(orextension),andspecimenspecificationsarecomparable.Sincedifferentmachineset-upswillcausedifferentresultsonthesamefabric,machineset-upsmustalwaysbespecifiedbeforemakingatestandbereportedwiththetestresults.Thetestformeasuringlooptensionatspecifiedelongation(s)isusedtodeterminethetensionofanelasticfabricwhensubjectedtoaspecifiedelongationwhichislessthantheelongationrequiredtorupturethefabric.Thetestprescribespointsofmeasurementontheextending(outgoing)cycleonly.Thetestformeasuringelongationatspecifiedtension(s)isusedtodeterminetheelongationofanelasticfabricwhensubjectedtoaspecifiedlooptensionwhichislessthanthetensionrequiredtorupturethefabric.Thetestprescribespointsofmeasurementontheloading(outgoing)cycleonly.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftensionandelongationofwideornarrowelasticfabricsmadefromnaturalorman-madeelastomers,eitheraloneorincombinationwithothertextileyarns,whentestedwithaconstant-rate-of-extension(CRE)typetensiletestingmachine.Note18212;Fordeterminationofsimilartestingusingtheconstant-rate-of-load(CRL)typetensiletestingmachine,refertoTestMethodD1775.1.2Theuseofthistestmethodrequirestheselectionof,ormutualagreementupon,looptension(s)andelongation(s)atwhichthetestresultswillbedetermined.1.3Launderingproceduresrequiremutualagreementontheselectionoftemperatureandnumberofwashingcyclesanddryingcyclestobeused.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmus......
