【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversrigidPVCandCPVCcompoundsintendedforgeneralpurposeuseinextrudedormoldedform,includingpipingapplicationsinvolvingspecialchemicalandacidresistanceorheatresistance,composedofpoly(vinylchloride),chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride),orvinylchloridecopolymerscontainingatleast80%vinylchloride,andthenecessarycompoundingingredients.Thecompoundingingredientsshallbepermittedtoconsistoflubricants,stabilizers,non-poly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers,pigments,andinorganicfillers.Note18212;Selectionofspecificcompoundsforparticularendusesorapplicationsrequiresconsiderationofothercharacteristicssuchasthermalproperties,opticalproperties,weatherresistance,etc.Specificrequirementsandtestmethodsforthesepropertiesshallbebymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Note28212;Thelistofcompoundingingredientsin1.1isnotmeanttobeanexhaustivelistofallowablecompoundingredients.Inadditiontothecompoundingingredientslisted,othersmayalsobeused.Thelistofcompoundingingredientsin1.1doesnotimplythateveryingredientlistedisarequiredingredient.Somecompoundsmaynotcontainalltheingredientslistedin1.1.1.2Therequirementsinthisspecificationareintendedforthequalitycontrolofcompoundsusedtomanufacturefinishedproducts.Thesepropertiesarebasedondataobtainedusingstandardtestspecimenstestedunderspecifiedconditions.Theyarenotdirectlyapplicabletofinishedproducts.SeetheapplicableASTMstandardsforrequirementsforfinishedproducts.1.3RigidPVCcompoundsintendedforpipe,fittings,andotherpipingappurtenancesarecoveredinSpecificationsD3915andD4396.1.4RigidPVCcompoundsforexteriorbuildingproductapplicationsarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.1.5Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.1.6RigidPVCrecycleplasticsmeetingtherequirementsofthisspecificationmaybeusedinsomeapplications.Refertothespecificrequirementsinthematerialsandmanufacturesectionoftheapplicableproductstandard.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.8Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note38212;Thisspecificationissimilarincontent(butnottechnicallyequivalent)toISO1163-1:1985andISO1163-2:1980.
