【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletomaterialsthatsoftenuponheatingtoamoduluslessthan6.0MPa.Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationofthetemperatureatwhichthespecificmodulusofeither6.65(MethodA)or33.3MPa(MethodB)(equivalenttoTestMethodD1525)ofatestspecimenisrealizedbyindentationmeasurementusingathermomechanicalanalyzerasthetestspecimenisheated.Thistemperatureisidentifiedastheindentationsofteningtemperature.Thetestmaybeperformedoverthetemperaturerangeofambientto300C.Note18212;ThistestmethodisintendedtoprovideresultssimilartothoseofTestMethodD1525butisperformedonathermomechanicalanalyzerusingasmallerdiameterindentingprobe.EquivalenceofresultstothoseobtainedbyTestMethodD1525hasbeendemonstratedonalimitednumberofmaterials.Untiltheuserdemonstratesequivalence,theresultsofthisTestMethodshallbeconsideredtobeindependentandunrelatedtothoseofTestMethodD1525.1.2Thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforethylcellulose,poly(vinylchloride),poly(vinylidenechloride)andothermaterialshavingalargemeasurementimprecision(seeTestMethodD1525andsectionsand).1.3Electronicinstrumentationorautomateddataanalysisandreductionsystemsortreatmentsequivalenttothistestmethodmaybeused.Note28212;Sinceallelectronicdatatreatmentsarenotequivalent,theusershallverifyequivalencytothistestmethod.1.4SIvaluesarethestandard.1.5ThereisnoISOstandardequivalenttothistestmethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
